Parcels from the Awatere Valley and Wairau Valley together combine to create a wine brimming with varietal character, balance and elegance. The nose is lifted and fresh with notes of passion fruit and grapefruit. The sweet fruit characters on the palate and fresh acidity combine to create an expressive, classy Sauvignon Blanc.

Beautiful with barbequed or fresh seafood.

Vineyard: 80% Awatere Valley 20% Wairau Valley

Total Acidity: 7.5

Alcohol: 12.5%

pH: 3.35

Residual Sugar: 4.0 g/l


Marlborough experienced a mild-to-cool spring period, which ensured that the vines naturally produced lighter than average yields. These mild temperatures then extended into the summer months, coupled with an unseasonable period of rain, which ultimately alleviated the drought conditions we had experienced over the past two years. Carrying lighter than usual crops along with the cooler weather meant vintage started only a week later than previous years.


Individual parcels of Sauvignon Blanc were selected for this wine from our vineyards in the Awatere Valley and our vineyards in the Wairau Valley. The parcels were harvested and fermented separately, using selected yeast strains for Sauvignon Blanc to enhance varietal character. A long, cool fermentation took place over four weeks, with the parcels then being blended and stabilised, prior to bottling.
